Construction Boomerang to Cairo, Egypt!
Dear Friends,
Would
you like an opportunity to use your skills to serve the Lord among
the poor?
Megacities (a ministry of YWAM Perth) targets
cities of over 1 million people for 12 months, acting as a catalyst
for city-wide transformation. We do this through strong partnership
between the local body of Christ and international multi-disciplined
teams. Together, we work at a grass roots level to strengthen existing
ministries and pioneer new works. Megacities has already gone to
cities in India and South Africa and we are partnering with the
city of Cairo, Egypt in 2006! There is great expectation, many church
and city leaders believe that they are on the edge of breakthrough!
In a city of over 100 slums which houses 5-6 million people, there
are countless families who need to know the love of God. This coming
October, YWAM Perth is mobilising a “Construction (Renovation)
Boomerang,” a three-week outreach, serving the people of Cairo.
The Boomerang consists of two days of orientation in Perth and two
and a half weeks of outreach, including debrief in the Cairo.
The dates are as follows:

Orientation in Perth, Australia – 13-14 October
·
Outreach in Cairo, Egypt – 15 October-2 November
There
are many opportunities for “the Handyman” and “the
Professional” to serve the people of Cairo in partnership
with initiatives already in the city. God can use your skills and
your willingness to serve to change lives!

months into the year, God is doing amazing things, and there is

Vanuatu experienced a brief revival when the former
Prime Minister, Serge Vohor, surprised a gathering of the island-state
church pastors by calling for a national repentance and re-committment
to God while he was leading the nation. The new PM did not share
the same urgency. Meanwhile, the group of pastors concerned had
enlisted the help of the Fijian church to further the revival momemtum.
