CHRISTMAS A TIME FOR JOY, HOPE & PEACE

There are two enduring elements of Christmas we need to make part of our lives and our society all year. One is the living presence of Jesus in our world and the other is the immense importance of the family.
Jesus provides such a perfect example of goodness, love and forgiveness that even otherwi
se reluctant people are moved by Him during the celebration of His birth each year. Christmas also becomes a celebration of family because Jesus, the Son of the Living God, was bron into and raised by a human family.
Barry Hickey, Catholic Archbishop of Perth

Love has a strange way of changing people and communities. God gives us a chance in the birth of Jesus of Bethlehem to know that we are loved beyond our rejections and our sense of unworthiness. The child born in an animal's food trough, crucified and rejected by his own, becomes central to history. Let us take the gift God has given us. Let love be born in us and the world can truly celebrate a blessed and holy Christmas.

Roger Herft, Anglican Archbishop of Perth

We wrapped our gifts in colourful wrapping paper and placed them under the Christmas tree. God wrapped his in human flesh and placed it on the tree, his only Son as an everlasting gift for all mankind.
May you be filled with the Spirit of Christmas.
