A Poem for D. Setiawati
It is a poem I wrote about Jesus & His love for somebody I met through the Cancer Foundation in Indonesia |
My mind is full of ink tonight
As my head washes away
With words
The pain you live.
I met a Torn Angel
On a day prepared
Since the foundation of the world
She was standing in a dripping sea
Of diamond white light
Weeping tears of salt sorrows
Shedding lonely sadnesses
As my spirit hovered silently
Brooding over her
While she sobbed naked tears
Her heart rent.
It was today
She read to me
From the story book of her life
Revealing the scars
On her wounded heart.
As I reached into her soul
Hidden beneath her torn breast
I took the heart out from her broken life
And I held it up for the Lord of Life to see.
All fear and disappointment
Slid into a pool of forgetfulness.
He was pleased with her heart
And as He stood at the gate of her life
Smiling
He breathed His life of love into her
He gave to her the gift of a bridegroom
Adorned since the foundation of the world
His task was to be his joy
To bind up all the wounds
And all the tears in the Torn Angel
And to wipe away all her tears
To raise her head
Lift up her eyes
No longer
An angel torn
Now a bride
My mind was full of ink
The night my head washed away
With a word
The pain that you lived
I met a Torn Angel
On a rainy day prepared long ago
Before the foundation of the world
Clothed in a garment of love and righteousness
Accepted - Healed
Restored - Reborn
At peace now
She came to me.
With a heart of love
I kissed the map of her eyes.
